Dangote Invites Nigerians to Apply for Jobs, Releases Link as New CEO Plans Refinery Expansion

Dangote Group is inviting Nigerians to visit its recruitment portalto apply for job openings across its wide range of businesses.

The announcement comes as Dangote Group named David Bird, former CEO of Oman’s Duqm refinery, as the new chief executive of its petroleum and petrochemicals business.

As CEO of the refining business, he will be responsible for ensuring maximum output and efficiency at the refinery, to position the group as a leader in the global market.

The business is expected to leverage Bird’s experience in expanding the Duqm refinery and diversifying its crude slate during his tenure as CEO of OQ8, a role he assumed just months before the Omani complex began its first test runs in 2023.

Dangote plans to expand the capacity of the Lagos refinery to 700,000 b/d.

Job vacancies

In an update shared through its official careers page and social media platforms, the Dangote Group encouraged qualified Nigerians to regularly check its career website for job openings.

The message reads:

“Vacancies are LIVE now! Explore exciting job opportunities across our various businesses and see what makes the Dangote Family a great place to grow your career. Don’t miss out.
Applicants are encouraged to visit the Dangote Careers website — www.careers.dangote.com — to apply for roles in engineering, operations, finance, supply chain, project management, and administration."

As of the time of writing, there are no available job openings, but interested persons are encouraged to regularly check www.careers.dangote.com.
