Tributes have continued to pour in for Northern Irish footballer Aaron Moffett, who died after a serious road traffic accident last month.
The 38-year-old from Knocknamuckley, County Armagh, was said to have suffered critical injuries as he remained in hospital until his passing.
DUP MLA Jonathan Buckley confirmed his death, praising the star as a beloved figure whose impact was felt both on and off the football pitch.

He said:
"It is with deep sadness that we have learned of the passing of Aaron Moffett this evening.
"Since the accident on 12th July, countless prayers have been said on Aaron’s behalf. He was a man who made a profound impact on so many across so many walks of life.
"We are holding the entire Moffett, Robinson and Wright families and friends in our thoughts and prayers at this time.
"No words can adequately describe the deep sorrow we all feel at this difficult time."
Also, Dollingstown FC are grieving the loss of their legend, as the club hailed him as the heart and soul of the team.
Moffett served as captain for 13 years in the Player-Fit NIFL Premier Intermediate League before becoming the club secretary, per BBC.
The club expressed deep sorrow in an emotional tribute, honouring his legacy. It reads:
“It is with total sadness that we announce the passing of Aaron Moffett. Moff was simply Mr Dollingstown, loved by all."
"We miss Partey. A total gentleman who we will never forget,” and urged the public to keep his family—Lindsey, John, Florence, and the wider family circle—in their thoughts and prayers.
In the same vein, the late player's hometown team, Portadown FC, also honoured his memory. In a heartfelt statement, the club said on X:
"Everyone at Portadown Football Club is deeply saddened to learn this evening of the passing of Aaron Moffett."
"Aaron had strong connections to the club and was a much loved figure in local football. We send our love, support and sympathies to his wife Lindsey, his brother in law Chris and all of the family circle."
