On-loan Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford gave an interesting answer when asked to choose between Victor Osimhen and Cole Palmer.

A Nigerian international, Osimhen has been sensational since his loan move to Turkish club Galatasaray during the summer transfer window.

Across all competitions this season, the 26-year-old striker has netted 22 times in 28 matches, including netting 16 goals in the Turkish Super Lig.

Osimhen remains one of the most prolific strikers in world football right now, with several teams said to be aiming to land him at the end of the season.

Palmer, on the other hand, has become a key member of the Chelsea squad with 14 goals contributed in 31 matches in all competitions so far this term.

The Manchester-born attacking midfielder, who joined the Blues last season, has scored important goals for the London club despite their challenges.

Rashford chooses between Osimhen and Palmer

In a video on X that has gone viral, Manchester United forward Rashford was asked to pick between the two players.

After hearing the question, the on-loan Aston Villa player paused momentarily before picking his England teammate.

Rashford also chose the Chelsea star over players like Marcus Thuram and Viktor Gyokeres but admitted that Real Madrid's Rodrygo was superior in terms of abilities.

Thanks to Palmer's contributions, the Blues are currently in fourth on the Premier League table and would be confident of making next season's Champions League.

Ex-Galatasaray vice-president hails Osimhen

Meanwhile, Abdurrahim Albayrak, a former Galatasaray vice-president, has praised Osimhen for his contributions to the Turkish club despite being a player on loan.

He expressed a desire to see the Nigerian international remain in Istanbul despite the likelihood of the striker leaving at the end of the season, via Haber Sari Kirmizi:

Legit.ng earlier reported that Palmer edged CR7, Jude Bellingham and other top stars to an award voted for by British football fans.

His stock has been on the rise since he boldly left his boyhood club, Manchester City and joined rivals Chelsea in the summer of 2023.

Palmer has been one of the best in the Premier League since then, scooping multiple awards, including the Young Player of the Year title.
