2024 US Elections: Top Athletes Backing Donald Trump for Presidency

Kamala Harris is locked in a fierce battle for the White House keys with Donald Trump, a race expected to go down to the wire.

Trump hopes to upstage Vice President Harris, who was a late entry to the race following Joe Biden's decision not to seek a second term.

Both candidates spent their last campaign days in major battlegrounds. Harris was in Pennsylvania, while Trump started with North Carolina before going to Michigan.

The former President has received backing from some notable athletes during his 2024 campaign, including;

1. Hulk Hogan

The former American wrestler, whose real name is Terry Bollea, has been a prominent figure in this election campaign. He appeared at the Republican rally at Madison Square last month, where he said,

"The only thing that I see in here are a bunch of hard-working men and women that are real Americans, brother. You know what I hear in my president and our president, Donald Trump? He sounds for real, brother," as quoted by the Independent.

2. Dana White - UFC

The President of the Ultimate Fighting Championship(UFC) has been friends with Trump since 2001.

"I don't tell anybody how to vote. I don't tell anybody how to think. I just tell everybody my relationship that I've had with this man for 20-something years, who he really is, what type of a person he really is, and what type of people his family are. They’re good people. So that's really, that's it for me," he told Yahoo Sports.

3. Jake Paul - Boxing

The professional boxer/Youtuber encouraged his huge following to go out and vote for the former President.

"Please, for the love of God, go, exercise your right to vote on my behalf and vote for Donald Trump in this election. America depends on it," as quoted by USA Today.

4. Brittany Mahomes

The wife of Kansas City Chiefs' quarterback, Patrick Mahomes, liked a series of messages endorsing Trump on Instagram. It is important to note that Mahomes himself hasn't pronounced his stand on the election.

5. Caitlyn Jenner

The former Olympic gold medalist in the decathlon has been a long-time Republican. Jenner has once again endorsed Trump for the top job.

"GET OUT AND VOTE! Vote for your elderly neighbours, friends, and family members. This will only get worse! They deserve better, and Trump will deliver for them as he always has!"
