Many people doubted him, but others jokingly said even N500k could construct the house from start to finish.

It is not clear if the house has already been built or if it is just a prototype. Legit.ng contacted Akanmu Saheed Olatokunbo, a building expert and he disputed the claim. He said it is practically impossible for N1 million to complete such a house.

He told Legit.ng:

"It is preposterous for anyone to make such a claim and it's an insult to the intelligence of Nigerians. But I understand where the poster is coming from; since X.com now pays for engagements, the poster is clearly after making efforts to make ends meet; for that, he can be forgiven. Let him just do a rough estimate of worker's pay on this project, from Mason to Carpenter, Tiler, Painter, Roofer, Foundation digging, etc. Let's see what that will Amount to before we even start discussing the cost of materials. I hope no greedy person will fall prey to such a claim."

Man shows off portable house on TikTok

In a related story, Legit.ng reported that a Nigerian man had shown people a video of a portable house which could be taken to anywhere the owner wants.

The house, which is beautifully painted, has a tiled floor, bathroom and toilet and could be lifted and planted on the owner's land.

TikTok user, Oladele, who posted the video, said all one needs to own the house is a parcel of land where it could be planted.

While some people said they desired the house, others said thieves could steal the entire building.
