Presidency: Imo State First Lady Says Southeast Women Will Vote for Tinubu

Owerri - Imo state First Lady Barr Chioma Uzodimma has called on southeast women to support the "Renewed Hope" project of the All Progressives Congress (APC) by voting Asiwaju Bola Tinubu for president in the forthcoming presidential election.
Mrs Uzodimma, the southeast coordinator of the APC Women Presidential Campaign Council, stated this recently while addressing a group of Imo state women in Owerri.
She cited the numerous achievements of the APC, both at the state and federal levels, as evidence of good governance.
The First Lady further appealed to the women to support the consolidation project of President Muhammadu Buhari-led federal government.

Her words:
“Umu nwanyi ibem, the time has gone when we are stuck in the kitchen without contributing to the affairs of our great nation. Therefore, let's come out en mass and support the ideals of the APC in repositioning our great country, Nigeria.”
Imo First Lady bags NCWS excellence award in Abuja
Recall that the National Council for Women Societies (NCWS) recently honoured Mrs Uzodimma in Abuja.
The group, led by their National President, Hajiya Lami Adamu Lau, expressed their sincere gratitude to the Imo First Lady for promoting women's rights and gender equality in Imo state through strategic programmes and interventions.
Hajiya Lami, in her speech, revealed that the Imo state chapter had shared special reports with them at the national level, and they had to acknowledge the enormous strides the government had made.
Youth groups urge Accord Party's presidential candidate to step down for Tinubu
Meanwhile, 22 influential youth and student groups in Nigeria have urged the presidential candidate of the Accord Party, Professor Christopher Imumolen, to step down for Tinubu.
The groups under the Youth and Students Societies Coalition in Nigeria said they decided after due consultations and counsel regarding the forthcoming presidential election.
In an open letter to the 39-year-old presidential candidate, the groups stated that Imumolen's vision and courage are inspiring, noting that his campaign has made young people proud in Nigeria.
Residents lockdown Maiduguri for Tinubu during APC rally in Borno
Legit.ng had earlier reported that Tinubu, and his running mate, Senator Kashim Shettima, elicited excitement among their supporters in Borno as admirers on Saturday, February 18, turned the APC rally in Maiduguri into a street carnival.
Central city streets were filled with jubilant supporters bearing placards and banners expressing their support for the APC candidates.
The heavy campaign train halted human and vehicular movement in significant parts of the city as attendees abandoned their vehicles to trek long distances to catch a glimpse of the APC presidential candidate.
