Patrick Obahiagbon Appointed Edo Chief Of Staff
Honourable Patrick Obahiagbon has been appointed the Chief of Staff to the Edo State Governor, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole. He replaced Mr. Osarodion Ogie.
Obahiagbon, popular for his rib-cracking grammatical expressions, was a former member of the House of Representatives.
The government also appointed a former Special Adviser to former President Olusegun Obasanjo and former Governorship candidate in Edo State, Professor Julius Ihonvbere as Secretary to Edo State Government [SSG], who replaces Dr. Simon Imuekemhe. A statement from the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Mr. Peter Okhiria announced the appointments Thursday night.
The statement said Mr. Godwin Obaseki retains his position as the Chairman, Economic Team, while the former Chief of Staff, Mr. Osarodion Ogie now becomes the Vice-chairman of the Economic Team. Mr. Stephen Idehenre was also appointed the new Deputy Chief of Staff, Governor’s Office.
Yakubu Aliyu was also appointed the new Principal Secretary to the Governor, while Mr. Peter Okhiria retained his position as Chief Press Secretary, while Princess Theresa Erediauwa also returned as the focal person and Executive Director, Millennium Development Goals (MDG). They will be sworn in on Thursday, November 15, 2012 inside the Edo State Government House at 10am.
