A former presidential aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Adamu Garba has openly commended President Muhammdu Buhari.
According to Garba, the president knows how to handle and care for his prisoners. He made the remark in a post shared on his Facebook page on Thursday, October 21.

The APC chieftain's statement is coming after Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) appeared in court for his trial.
He praised Buhari on how he treated Kanu, saying the leader of the outlawed group is shining.

Recall that the embattled IPOB leader appeared at the Federal High Court in Abuja for his trial in a white Versace outfit.
Nnamdi Kanu reacts to 7-count charge of terrorism
Kanu had been earlier re-arraigned at the Federal High Court in Abuja on treasonable felony and terrorism charges.
The court session commenced at 10am on Thursday, October 21. When the charges were read to him, the IPOB leader pleaded not guilty.

Meanwhile, the federal government is not leaving anything to chance as it sent a good number of security operatives to the court in Abuja for the trial of Kanu.
Operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS), the Nigerian Army and officers of the Nigerian Police Force were seen guarding every entrance to the court and the streets leading to the court building.
Journalists whose names were not on a prepared list were not allowed near the court premises. The staff of the court who arrived in buses were made to stand in a queue and were searched before gaining entrance into the premises.
Ifeanyi Ubah asks court to grant him permission to visit Kanu
In a related development, Senator Ifeanyi Ubah has sought an order of the court to grant him access to visit Kanu at the DSS headquarters.
Speaking to journalists in front of the court after filing the application, Ubah said he made the move in order to find a solution to the security crisis in the southeast region.
Ubah, 50, is the candidate of the Young Progressives Party (YPP) in the forthcoming Anambra governorship election.
