Bandits Invade Police Armoury in Kaduna, Three Officers Injured
- Some policemen have been injured after they were attacked by bandits in Igabi LGA of Kaduna state

The attack on the Maraban Jos divisional armoury in Igabi LGA of Kaduna state has caused injuries to some police officers.
According to The Cable, three officers of the Kaduna police command sustained varying degrees of injuries when the bandits attacked.
The attack was confirmed by Mohammad Jalige, spokesperson of the Kaduna state police command, The Punch Newspaper added.
According to him, the criminals opened fire at the police personnel on duty in an attempt to gain access to the division’s armoury immediately they arrived.
However, he claimed the police used their superior and tactical firepower, repel the criminals. He said the gun battle between the bandits and the police lasted for some minutes.
Buhari expresses worry over lingering banditry in northwest
In another report, Legit.ng had reported that President Muhammadu Buhari expressed concern in his Daura country home, Katsina state, on Thursday, July 22, about the lingering banditry in the northwest.
He described the situation as most disturbing and a source of concern to him because the bandits and their victims belong to the same tribe and religion.

Gunmen abduct 80-year-old mum of Bayelsa SSG
Meanwhile, Legit.ng had previously reported that some suspected gunmen dressed in military camouflage stormed the residence of Betinah Benson and kidnapped her to an unknown destination.
It was reported that the victim, aged 80, is the mother of Kombowei Benson, Secretary to the Bayelsa state government.
The Bayelsa state police command in a statement signed by the spokesperson, Asinim Butswat, confirmed that some of the suspects have been arrested.

In another report, the Emir of Daura has revealed that the presidency of President Muhammadu Buhari is a blessing to Nigeria at this point in time.
According to Umar Faruk Umar, things would have been very difficult for the people of the country if not for Buhari at the helm of affairs.
Garba Shehu said the emir made this known on Friday, July 23, when the president visited him at his palace in Daura, Kastina state.
