Nuno Espirito Santo is now favourite to land the vacant managerial appointment at Crystal Palace after stepping down as manager of Wolves weeks back, Daily Mail.

Roy Hodgson bid farewell to his boyhood club at the end of the season and Frank Lampard was lined up as replacement for the former England manager.

Burnley boss Sean Dyche, Steve Cooper and Valerien Ismael were also considered for the post but Espirito Santo is looking like the preferred candidate for the job.

According to the Telegraph, the former Wolves manager is in advanced talks with the management at Selhurst Park and an announcement could be made before the week runs out.

The 47-year-old's record at Wolves has been incredible since he took over in 2017, helping the club gain promotion into the Premier League.
