The circulation of posters purporting that Chukwuma Soludo will be the running mate to Atiku Abubakar in the 2023 presidential election has annoyed the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).
The party through the national coordinator of APGA Media Warriors, Chinedu Obigwe, said desperate politicians are behind the posters, Punch Newspaper reports.
The posters titled, “The Great Alliance: PDP & APGA. Atiku /Soludo as President and Vice President 2023,” were displayed along the Wuse Area and the Airport Road in Abuja, the nation’s capital, Vanguard reports.
Obigwe described the development as wicked propaganda and blackmail.
He said desperate politicians that want to stop Soludo at all costs are behind the posters. However, he said they will fail because Soludo's ambition is a mandate from God.
Going further, he revealed that the level of blackmail is expected, adding that those behind it are scared of the former CBN governor.
“The reality staring them and their sponsors in the face is that the coast is already clear for Soludo to emerge as APGA candidate on June 23rd and to also win the main election on November 6th.
“The flooding of Abuja with Atiku and Soludo campaign posters is the handiwork of mischief-makers."
We have not picked Soludo
Legit.ng had reported that the governorship ambition of Soludo may have hit the rock after the pronouncement of APGA on Tuesday, April 20.
The party said it had not nominated Soludo as its candidate in the November 6 poll in Anambra state.
Legit.ng gathered that the state chairman of the party, Norbert Obi, made this known at a press conference in Awka, the state capital. Obi described as preposterous stories making the rounds that the party had settled for Soludo for the poll.
