The Cable reported that Mbaka made the claim on Sunday, June 6, during a sermon.

The cleric said:

“I celebrated mass with some of the leaders of the ministry. By Thursday morning, I got a call from where I was, that the DSS people from Abuja came to the gate, and they came with a letter of invitation to Abuja. Over what? What I cannot understand is that the mother church in Nigeria should be cowed down to lilliputians.''

He said his security men at the gate of his house refused to collect the invitation from the DSS.

Mbaka said:

‘’I heard the security people did not accept the letter. I said they could have received the letter. They told them Father is coming back to celebrate mass on Sunday, and they can come on Monday to give me the letter.''

He accused the DSS of attempting to dumbfound preachers.

The Tribune reported that the Catholic priest complained about the banditry and other terrorist activities going on in the country.

Meanwhile, the spiritual director of Adoration Ministries Enugu Nigeria has been banned by the Catholic Church from commenting on partisan politics.

Also, Callistus Onaga, Catholic bishop of Enugu Diocese, converted the adoration ministry to chaplaincy.

With this, Mbaka will not solely oversee the activities of the ministry. Hence, it is now under the control of the Enugu diocese and gives the bishop the power to appoint a chaplain to oversee its operations.
