Nigerian talent manager, Ubi Franklin, has now left his former political party, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to join the All Progressive’s Congress (APC).
It is no longer news that a number of Nigerian celebrities have dabbled in politics and some of them have even emerged victorious.
The news of Ubi’s party change recently made the rounds on social media after the music executive took to his Instagram story to share series of videos from a political rally where he was seen waving an APC flag.

Ubi tried to mix with the people and explained that ‘politics is local’. See a screenshot below:
Not stopping there, the music executive gave an insight on why he changed political parties.
In the comment section of a blog post he wrote:
“What is the goal of Politics? It is about attracting development to your area.
A political party is literally a vehicle to achieve your political goals.
Pls don’t get it twisted; we are working in the best interest of our people first and foremost.
I promise you, soon you’ll understand, bookmark this statement.”

Ubi Franklin bags political appointment
Legit.ng had earlier reported that Ubi became a special adviser on tourism to the governor of Cross River state, Benedict Ayade.
Sharing a lengthy acceptance speech on his page, Franklin noted that he it is an honour for him to be called upon to be of service.
Franklin also stated that he is delighted to be serving in the tourism sector, considering how much the sector is dear to his heart.
