Abuja - The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has warned that it may resume its suspended strike in Kaduna following an alleged breach of agreement by the state government.
The NLC president, Ayuba Wabba, gave the warning in a letter addressed to President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday, June 4, in Abuja, Premium Times reported.
The labour leader said the Kaduna government was refusing to honour the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) it signed with members of the organised labour.
The letter accused the state government of violating the terms of the MOU by victimising workers in the state who took part in the suspended strike action.
Wabba said:
”To our greatest surprise, after signing the MoU with workers, the Kaduna State Government has gone ahead to impugn all the clauses in the agreement freely entered with the Nigeria Labour Congress.’’
