BREAKING: NECO Gets Acting Registrar as Replacement for Late Obioma

The appointment of Ebikibina John Ogborodi as the acting registrar and chief executive of the National Examination Council (NECO) has been approved by the body's governing members.
Ogborodi's appointment was announced by the council's head of information and public relations division, Mallam Azeez Sani, on Thursday, June 3, The Sun reports.
Before his latest elevation, the acting registrar who hails from the Sagbama local government area of Bayelsa was serving as the director of special duties.
He has degrees from the University of Jos in 1986 and 1999 in Learning Disability, Ogborodi, and went ahead to join the examination body the same year.
The Guardian reports that among other top position Ogborodi had held are acting director, examination development department, acting director, office of the registrar, director, general services and director, human resource management.
Confirmation, reactions trail Obioma's death
Earlier, NECO had confirmed trending news concerning late Obioma. In a statement made available by the examination body on Twitter, the registrar was reported to have died after a brief illness on Monday, May 31.
The body consequently urged its members to remain calm. Recall that news had circulated that Obioma was assassinated.
This sparked diverse reactions with many believing there was foul play.
