Fayose Identifies People Twitter Should Hold Accountable for Buhari's Deleted Tweet

Ayodele Fayose has reacted to social media giant, Twitter deleting President Buhari's tweet warning secessionist agitators that they would be treated in the language they understand.
The former Ekiti state governor in a series of tweets on Wednesday, June 2, sighted by Legi.ng stated that Buhari certainly wasn't tweeting about the crisis.

Fayose asked the microblogging site to hold presidential spokesman, Garba Shehu and the minister of information and culture, Lai Mohammed accountable for the controversial ‘civil war’ post.
He wrote:
“A president who cannot address his own people in time of crisis can certainly not be the one tweeting on the crisis. Twitter should rather hold Garba Shehu, Lie Mohammad, and co accountable.”
Twitter deletes Buhari's tweet
The Nigerian leader in a Twitter thread had condemned the attacks on police stations, prisons and offices of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in the southeast, The Punch reports.
Buhari via his verified Twitter handle on Tuesday, June 1, warned that those supporting insurrection and violence in the country would be shocked.
His tweet in reference to the civil war sparked outrage on social media as many Nigerians considered it insensitive and reported the post to Twitter.
The microblogging site has deleted the tweet where civil war was mentioned stating that it violated its rules.

FG accuses Twitter of being biased
Meanwhile, the federal government has criticised Twitter, for deleting a tweet by President Buhari that warned of strong actions against secessionists.
The minister of information and culture on Wednesday, June 2, accused the microblogging site of bias on issues concerning Nigeria’s domestic affairs.
He said Twitter’s role is suspicious and Nigeria would not be fooled. Mohammed argued that the president has the right to express his idea on the current security challenges in the country.
