APC-LAC: Buhari Laying a Solid Foundation for Nigeria’s Greatness

Abuja - A legacy group of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) under the aegis of APC Legacy Awareness and Campaign (APC-LAC) has said the Buhari-led administration has been laying a foundation for Nigeria's greatness.
According to the group, a lot of the investments and reforms being made currently should have been done long before now by successive Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) administration.
In a statement sent to Legit.ng on Wednesday, June 2, the group said if the opposition PDP and its leadership want to join in criticising and opposing the APC administration, it must do so by presenting to Nigerians what they did comparatively during their 16-year stewardship.

Part of the statement read:
“Since the APC administration led by President Muhammadu Buhari assumed office six years ago, it has boldly pursued reforms aimed at laying a solid and sustainable foundation for the greatness of Nigeria. A lot of the investments being made today should have been done long before now.
“Developing Nigeria’s infrastructure, in rail, roads, ports, power. More road and rail infrastructure are being built and/or completed since 2015, than in the sixteen years between 1999 and 2015.
“Several landmark infrastructure initiatives are being implemented by the Buhari administration. All of these are unprecedented efforts in developing and upgrading national infrastructure.
“Equally unparalleled is President Buhari’s commitment to completing abandoned and unfinished projects inherited from previous administrations.”
While challenging the opposition party, the group stated that:
“PDP and its leadership must never imagine that Nigerians have a short memory of how destructive they were as managers of Nigeria.
“APC is working to rebuild Nigeria after years of neglect and destruction. President Buhari is laying a solid and sustainable foundation for Nigeria’s greatness!
“We firmly believe that these efforts will begin to yield fruit in the months and years ahead.”
In a related development, the minister of information and culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, has boasted that no Nigerian president has ever accomplished what the Buhari-led administration has achieved since coming into power in 2015.
Alhaji Mohammed made the comment at a media briefing in Abuja on Tuesday, June 1 focused on the mid-term report of the administration's second term in office.
Recall that presidential media aide, Femi Adesina on Saturday, May 29 declared that Nigeria has become a better country than it was before President Buhari’s ascension into office in 2015.
Adesina, a veteran journalist, made the assertion in an article he shared on his Facebook page to commemorate Buhari’s six years in office.
In the article, Adesina reeled out what he called the achievements of the Buhari administration in six years.
