A Nigerian man who lives abroad has stated that knowing the motive of acquiring education should first be answered before one thinks of going to school.

The man named Stanley Ebigbo made this statement in an exclusive chat with Legit.ng. While responding to the topic of whether or not school is a scam, the New York-based man argued from the standpoint of his experience in the US.

He said over there, people get employed according to their skill set and not necessarily what they read in school.

He made reference to some of his friends who only know IT but earn comfortable salaries. Stanley also revealed that though he had been told by a few of his mentors that school is a scam, he opined that persons going to school should do so with an entrepreneurial mindset.

Bella says schooling abroad broadened her horizon

For Frau Bella, schooling abroad opened her understanding. The lady who is currently studying in Germany said she came to the realization that all she read in Nigeria served no use to her.

Bella said over there, education is given a practical approach fused with theory.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that a Nigerian man abroad had warned his countrymen to avoid coming to Europe as life is difficult there.

The man who gave his name only as Mr Forlan, told Legit.ng in an exclusive interview that living abroad seemed to be only designed for the benefit of indigenes and nationals of the country, not migrants.

Forlan who has lived in Germany for some years said that European life is in sharp contrast to what is depicted on TV and the media and that it takes hard labour for one to succeed there.

While revealing that he owns a farm in Nigeria that is cultivated and tilled by workers under his payroll, he stated that starting a business in Europe can be frustrating and if the paperwork for approval and takeoff does not deter you, the taxes will.
