The minister said:
“Let me repeat what I have said many times in the past: Never in the history of our country has any administration done so much with so little. This administration has achieved so much despite the paucity of funds.”
Some Nigerians have been reacting to the comment of the minister via social media.
Binuyo Adewale wrote on Twitter:
“Very true. It will be on record that he is the president that destroyed our economy, devalued our currency, and made Nigeria one of the unsafe countries to live in the world.”
Klinzmann Otto wrote:
“Of course, the level of poverty, and insecurity in the country is unprecedented and something no ex-president has ever done.”
Wilfred Akinyeke wrote:
“He has brought the worst division among the ethnic lines and sub nationals in the history of Nigeria. Yes, no Nigerian has unleashed this level of wickedness in the history of Nigeria.”
Abba Bilayaminu wrote:
“Yes, there's no contention to this statement, particularly looking at all the negative indices of our economy, social life, political life, security-wise, etc.”
Yusuf Yawai wrote:
“You are very correct sir! No Nigerian president has seen the kind of insecurity under his watch.”
Recall that presidential media aide, Femi Adesina on Saturday, May 29 declared that Nigeria has become a better country than it was before President Buhari’s ascension into office in 2015.
Adesina, a veteran journalist, made the assertion in an article he shared on his Facebook page to commemorate Buhari’s six years in office.
In the article, Adesina reeled out what he called the achievements of the Buhari administration in six years.
Meanwhile, a new group of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) known as the APC Legacy Awareness & Campaign (APCLAC) has emerged.
In a statement sent to Legit.ng on Friday, May 28, the group stated that some of the problems confronting Nigeria like many other nations were not created by the APC.
The group also announced that it will embark on showcasing the national and sub-national achievements of APC administration with facts and empirical evidence, on weekly basis.
