A Nigerian man has celebrated his mother on social media for her efforts that have seen the advancement and success of his academic pursuits.

The man, @mlkadesanya1, marked her 56th birthday with a short narration of how she sacrificed for him and his sibling.

@mlkadesanya1 said many years ago, his mother hawked boiled corn every day for about three weeks to be able to gather money for his undergraduate studies at the University of Lagos.

Describing the woman as a goddess, he stated that she exchanged 10 years of her life for the primary and secondary education of him and his brother.

Now, he is a graduate of Stanford School of Business, California, US. Though not financially buoyant to get her a car, he urged social media users to join him in celebrating the woman he dubbed Iya Wale.

Social media users reacted emotionally as they were full of praises for his selfless mum.

Woman's sacrifice for her kids finally pay off

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that a woman who had sold tea and yoghurt have a reason to smile as her efforts have paid off in the lives of her kids.

In a post on Sunday, May 23, a young man said on Twitter that he was really moved to tears while narrating how his mum sold hot tea and homemade yoghurt on Lagos street to fund her children's education.

As if that was not enough, the superwoman used proceeds from the business to take care of her ailing husband who was blind.

The young man stated that their story is a motivational one as his younger brother now works with Google while he is under the employment of Paystack.
