He is now facing backlash after calling Osaka a “brat” for refusing to speak to the media in order to protect her mental health.

Morgan previously attacked Meghan Markle in a similar fashion after she revealed in an interview with Oprah Winfrey earlier this year that the pressures of royal life had led to suicidal thoughts.

Global Twitter community reacts to Morgan

@Gusrobertson23 Said:

“If she doesn't want to do press then she doesn't do press. Quite simple. Watch some of the pressers after games. They are a joke. Utterly pathetic with idiotic questions designed to elicit an extreme response. It's a totally different dynamic from a team scenario.”

In other news, Legit.ng earlier reported that Naomi Osaka won big at the Laureus Awards.

Serena Williams was a conspicuous loser during the Laureus Awards where sportsmen and women were recognised for their performances.

For Osaka, she was honoured for winning the US Open for the second time and now has four majors, making her a two-time Laureus winner.

The Japanese top tennis star, Osaka, was recognised for her anti-racism stance, particularly at the US Open, where she wore face masks bearing the names of Black Americans who died as a result of police clashes or were victims of racial injustice.
