PDP Opens Up on Killing of Ahmed Gulak, Names Who Should Be Held Responsible

- PDP has made some serious allegations against the APC following the killing of Ahmed Gulak and the insecurity in the country

Abuja - The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has alleged that the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its leaders are responsible for the killing of the popular politician, Ahmed Gulak.

The party made the allegation in a statement issued through its spokesperson, Kola Ologbondiyan via Facebook on Monday, May 31.

Ologbondiyan claimed that findings by his party indicate that the death of Gulak and other killings in the country should be blamed on the ruling party.

He said the APC politicised the gruesome murder of a prominent Nigerian like Gulak, an incident that happened in a state under its control, instead of forcefully condemning that act.

The PDP also accused members of the APC of having links to those causing insecurity in the country.

It said:

‘’Our party insists that every material evidence shows that the APC and its leaders are implementing their Janjaweed agenda to balkanize and destroy our nation through their unholy body language, divisive policies, violent acts, abuse of human rights, disregard to our national sensibilities and shameful patronizing of terrorists and bandits, which have led to widespread killings, violence and dissonances across our nation.’’

The spokesperson for the PDP alleged that members of the ruling party were harbouring people who openly romantisize with bandits and terrorists.

Meanwhile, the APC has alleged that the PDP is excited over the rising insecurity in the southeast region of the country.

The APC made this claim in a statement on Twitter, titled ‘APC mourns Ahmed Gulak, calls for collective action against criminality.

The ruling party also expressed shock over the killing of Ahmed Gulak and called for the arrest of the criminals involved.
