Elizabeth Nalem, a mother of six from Makutano Town, said God appeared to her when she was asleep and requested her to leave her husband.

The unusual event surprised curious residents of Makutano who had gathered to witness as the bride was due to be married to the Holy Spirit.
“Today, I am one of those who have received the word of God. I have faced difficulties, and it made me look for God,” she told journalists.
Elizabeth made a big entrance into the town, causing near-paralysis, dressed in an appealing white bridal gown and followed by friends and devotees.
The service began with a sermon from pastor Albert Rumaita, who then prayed for her as she embarked on a new chapter of her life.

After the ceremony, Nalem said she had served the world for many years, and now she was a changed woman ready to serve her God.
The mother of six said the man of God was the one who bought her the gown, hired vehicles, and even organised the ceremony held at Chelangaa gardens.

Although Nalem claims she had prior consultations with her husband, Joshua Nalem, he was shocked by the day's events claiming he did not understand what was happening with his wife.
“My wife used to go to church, and what she has decided to do today is shocking. I can’t understand,” Joshua said.
A shocked Joshua told journalists that his wife had been waking up at 3am to pray, and when he questioned her actions, she moved out of their home to a neighbouring homestead.
“She is my wife, and I paid the dowry. We have six children. Our firstborn just completed Form Four the other day," he said.
Rumaita, who oversaw the ceremony, on the other hand, said he had no option but to do what the woman had requested.
He claimed that Nalem had presented her issues to her church pastor, but she was dismissed.
She then approached him, and after she explained herself, he took the bold step and did what she requested him to do.
