Shehu Sani, a former senator representing Kaduna Central, has reacted to the murder of Ahmed Gulak, a former political aide to ex-president Goodluck Jonathan.
The former lawmaker and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) was killed on Sunday, May 30, in Owerri, Imo state capital, on his way to the airport by unknown gunmen.
Gulak's death came amid rising insecurity in the southeast and southsouth, with sources establishing that he was attacked in his Camry car marked Texas BFT 2150.
Sani, who reacted to the tragedy in a series of tweets on Sunday, said it is time to track the "unknown gunmen" down and take action.
The former lawmaker lamented that road travellings in some parts of the country have become a "dangerous expedition and a hellish experience."
"It’s time to know these unknown Gunmen and take a known action. Ahmed Gulak killed in Imo and Nasarawa lawmaker heading towards Kaduna from Akwanga kidnapped.
"Road travels in some parts of the country have become a dangerous expedition and a hellish experience," he said.

Ismail Danbaba, a member of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, has been kidnapped by unknown gunmen.
The lawmaker was abducted on Saturday evening, May 29, while travelling to Jos, Plateau state for an official function.
Danbaba was said to have passed Andaha in Akwanga local government area of Nasarawa and he was heading to the forest area in Sanga local government of Kaduna when the kidnappers attacked and abducted him.
