Troops Raid Suspected Boko Haram Logistics Base, Arrests 2 Fuel Suppliers

The Nigerian Army continues to record success in the fight against insurgency as they pounce on terrorists in the northern region of the country.
The gallant troops of Operation Hadin Kai have arrested two suspected Boko Haram logistics suppliers in Gujba, Yobe state.

Brigadier General Mohammed Yerima, the director of army public relations confirming this said the troops nabbed the suppliers on Saturday, May 29, after raiding a logistics base.
Yerima in a statement shared on the army's Facebook and Twitter account also noted that the successful raid and arrest were followed by sting operations conducted.
Items found with the suspects include 11 jerricans loaded with petrol, 6 jerricans of Automotive Gas Oil and 9 empty jerricans hidden in different locations.
He said that the suspects were in their custody for preliminary investigations and would be handed over to relevant agencies for prosecution.
Suspected insurgents arrested
The spokesperson, 3rd Brigade Nigerian Army in Kano state, Captain Njoko Irabor on Sunday, May 9, confirmed that some of the terrorists were arrested, however, he did not give the exact number of suspects.
Irabor in a statement said that the arrest was made possible when the troops stormed a mosque and some houses located in Filin Lazio, Hotoro Area of Kano metropolis on Saturday evening, May 8.
According to him, the houses allegedly belong to some Borno men who fled as a result of the Boko Haram insurgency.

Boko Haram regrouping in North-East
Senator Ali Ndume has said that terrorists have started regrouping again in the northeastern states of Borno, Yobe and Adamawa.
Ndume who is the chairman of the Senate committee on Army made this known while briefing journalists after plenary on his bill seeking to establish Federal College of Education Gwoza, Borno state.
