It was reported that the spokesperson for the party, Ogbonna Nwuke, disclosed that Nwiye was abducted on Sunday, April 4, from his residence in the Khana area.
The APC blamed Nwiye's abduction on the inability of the Rivers state government to guarantee appropriate security protection at the grassroots.
