An American couple’s public proposal recently made headlines on social media after the lady was the one to pop the life-changing question.

In videos making the rounds on Twitter, the lady and her man appeared to be in the middle of the road while a crowd surrounded them.

Some of the onlookers were holding on to a big banner with the words ‘marry me?’ written on it.

However, there was the plot twist when the lady was the one to actually go down on one knee and present a ring to her man as she asked him to marry her.

There seemed to be a pause from the man while the lady laughed on and onlookers cheered the couple.

It was later gathered that the young man said yes to the public proposal. See the video below:
