Sardauna's minister and northern leader, Danburam-Jada dies at 97

Alhaji Abdullahi Danburan Jada, a former Northern Nigerian minister of Animal Health, Forestry, and Northern Cameroon, has passed on at the age of 97.
The Danburan Jad family in a statement sent to Legit.ng disclosed that the late district head of Jada, Adamawa state, died in the early hours of Monday, May 24, 2021, Leadership reported.
Born in Nasarawa Jada in 1924, in the then Trust Territory of Northern Cameroon, the deceased attended Yola Primary School and Yola Middle School in 1937 and 1944 respectively.

Alhaji Danbuaran was a pioneering student at the Samaru School of Agriculture, where he studied between 1948 and 1952.
He then served as supervisor of agriculture in Adamawa until 1955, when he was appointed district head and later elected.

Survived by many, children, grand children, great grand children and great great grandchildren. Among the children are: Usman Danburam, Ibrahim Danbura, Dr Nafisa Mohammed, the former CEO of Normadic Education Commission.
In-laws include the late Dr Mahmud Tukur, Dr Dahiru Mohammed, Dr Bashir Gwandu, Current Minister of Agriculture Sabo Nanono, and Alhaji Bakari
Meanwhile, an emerging report claims President Muhammadu Buhari is already making plans to replace the late Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lt Gen Ibrahim Attahiru, as soon as possible.
A source who does not want to be named told Daily Trust that the Nigerian president is considering a senior officer from the southeast to correct the alleged imbalance in the composition of his security team.
But the source noted that agitation and attacks on security agents and formations in the southeast may hinder the chances of the COAS emerging from the zone.
In another news, President Muhammadu Buhari has declared Monday, May 24, a work-free day for members of the Nigerian Armed Forces in honour of Lt. Gen Ibrahim Attahiru, the late Chief of Army Staff.
The Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Mustapha, said this in a statement on Sunday, May 23, Daily Trust reported.
Legit.ng gathered that the Nigerian leader also ordered the national flag to be flown at half-mast in all public buildings, facilities, and official residences from Monday, May 24 to Wednesday, May 26.
