In a message that will make Governor Yahaya Bello glow, Pastor Adeboye has described him as as a man of faith.

The General Overseer, the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) also commended the Kogi state governor over his handling of the coronavirus pandemic, The Nation reports.

Adeboye said Bello was inspiring for demonstrating stoic faith over the virus.

He said:

“We have heard and seen your show of faith in God particularly in dealing with the Corona Virus. It takes the man of faith to have acted the way you did and we are very very pleased with you. We have also heard the news of how you’ve been relating to people of every faiths to the extend that you built the first chapel in the government house, Lokoja, we are delighted, Sir. I want to assure you that we will keep on praying for you, we will keep on praying for the people of your state and I believe that the Almighty God will answer our prayers for you. Thank you for granting us audience."

Meanwhile, Governor Bello thanked the cleric for visiting him in Kogi state, and urged him to continue praying for Nigeria and Kogi state.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had reported that Senator Dino Melaye, a former federal lawmaker from Kogi state, has mocked Governor Yahaya Bello over his statement that all Nigerians want him to run for president in 2023.

The Kogi state governor whose second term tenure ends in 2023 had said on Channels TV on Friday, May 14, that his response to all those who wanted him to be president would be in the affirmative.

Responding to Bello's statement on Twitter, Senator Melaye tweeted:

"Ignorance is free and only compound fools pay for it. Eyah Kogi State. SDM"

In another report, Senator Melaye and his group, the Anti Corruption Network on Wednesday, March 31, visited the headquarters of the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC), Abuja to submit more evidence of alleged corruption against Governor Bello.

In a tweet made by Melaye after the submission of the petition, the activist expressed satisfaction about the investigation by the EFCC.

He tweeted:

"Anti Corruption Network team after adopting our petition at the EFCC HQ today. We submitted additional evidence against Yahaya Bello. We are satisfied with EFCC investigation so far. Alot has been achieved."
