Walter Egbueze, a Nigerian graduate, has secured a job with Cummins Inc, an American multinational corporation that designs, manufactures, and distributes engines, filtration, and power generation products.
The 2018 Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife graduate of chemical engineering was appointed as a senior environmental engineer in the US.
Walter, who made this exclusively known to Legit.ng's regional reporter Adewunmi Adeoye on Monday, May 25, had his Masters from the department of environmental engineering at Texas A & M University in the United States.
He left Nigeria in 2018 shortly after his mandatory one-year National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).
While describing his period of study in the United States, he said that life was upbeat and fast-paced. Walter added that life was pretty amazing for him during his studies at Texas A & M University.
“During my studies, life has been pretty upbeat and fast-paced. Above all, it's been pretty amazing for me,” he said.

In a related development, Legit.ng reported that Nigerian Nabila Aguele was appointed by the Business School for the World, INSEAD, as a member of its board of directors.
The appointment, which takes effect from June 18, 2021, was announced in a statement by the Dean of INSEAD, Professor Ilian Mihov, on Thursday, March 18
With the appointment, Aguele entered the history book as the youngest person appointed to the board. Besides, she is the second African and second woman of African descent and the first Nigerian to be appointed by INSEAD.
