Embattled Actor Baba Ijesha Still in Police Custody Despite Bail on Health Grounds

Popular Nollywood actor, Olanrewaju James Omiyinka, aka Baba Ijesha was earlier reported to have been granted bail on May 17 on health grounds.
He was reportedly granted bail when some magistrates went to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, Panti, Yaba, and they saw him limping.
According to Punch, a police source confirmed that the actor was still in custody because his bail conditions still had to undergo certain required processes.
The source said:
“Aside from the report of the DPP, this is just a recommendation and they are still going to pass it through certain processes. So, Baba Ijesha is still with the police.”

The bail conditions as listed by his lawyer were two reliable sureties, one of which must be a level-10 civil servant, a direct blood relation to the accused, and a N500,000 bail bond.
Recall that Iyabo Ojo said that she would continue to fight for justice in the case of Baba Ijesha's alleged assault of a young girl.
Taking to her verified Instagram page, the movie star shared a heartfelt video where she explained why she was keen on seeing the case to its end.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that Baba Ijesha's lawyer, Adesina Ogunlana's redemand for bail caused outrage on social media.
In a letter addressed to the Lagos commissioner of police, Hakeem Odumosu, Ogunlana stated that the actor is traumatised and walked with difficulties in police detention.
A lot of Nigerians stated that the victim and others were just as traumatised by his actions as he was with remaining in police custody.
