Photos emerge as Seyi Makinde Hosts Wike, Tambuwal, 12 Other PDP Governors

Seyi Makinde, the governor of Oyo state on Sunday, May 16, hosted Governor Nyesom Wike and twelve of his other counterparts in Ibadan, the state capital.
Makinde who made this known via his Twitter and Facebook account announced the arrival of the governors in his state.
Legit.ng reports that other dignitaries at the event included governors elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Among the governors in attendance were Aminu Tambuwal, the chairman, PDP Governors’ Forum, Okezie Ikpeazu, Udom Emmanuel, and Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri.
Others include Bala Muhammed, Duoye Diri, Samuel Ortom, Ben Ayade, Ifeanyi Okowa, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, Godwin Obaseki, Darius Ishaku, and Bello Matawalle.
According to Makinde, the governors will converge at the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA), Ibadan, on Monday, May 17, to discuss issues of party politics.
He also said there would be talks surrounding the state of the nation with a focus on security and the economy.
This development is coming after governors from the 17 states in Southern Nigeria met in Asaba, Delta state.
The governors led by the governor of Ondo State, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, came up with a 12-point resolution, including a ban on open grazing in the southern region and a call for restructuring.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng reported that southern governors may meet with President Muhammadu Buhari after his return from the official trip to France.
A source in the Southern Governors’ Forum confirmed that arrangements were being made for the governors to present their resolutions at their meeting to the president.
In another report, the president of the Senate, Dr. Ahmad Lawan, on Thursday, May 13, faulted the call for restructuring the country by the Southern Governors Forum.
Speaking to State House correspondents at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, Lawan said it was wrong for elected officials to lead such agitation.
The Senate president further said the worsening security situation in the country is a result of a lack of a functional local government system.
