As the burial rites for late Pastor Dare Adeboye commenced on Sunday, May 9, a candlelight procession was held in his remembrance on Monday, May 10.
The candlelight procession was held at the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Redemption Camp, with Mrs Temitope Adeboye, wife of the deceased at the procession, PM News reports.
The family had announced that the late Dare would be buried on Tuesday, May 11.
Also, recall that to honour the deceased, some members of the RCCG went bald and cut off their hair as a sign to show last respect for the deceased who has been widely described as a soldier.
This comes as Temiloluwa, wife of the late Dare, declared that her husband was not afraid of death adding that she was sure he was already in heaven.
According to Temiloluwa, her husband told her before his death that if he died, he knew he was fulfilled because he had done what the Lord asked him to do on earth.
Temiloluwa made the comment on Monday, May 10, at the evening of worship and tribute held at the Redemption Camp, Ogun state.
Meanwhile, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta state commiserated with the General Overseer of the RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, and his wife over the death of their son, Pastor Dare.
Okowa, in a statement sent to Legit.ng on Friday, May 7, by his spokesman, Olisa Ifeajika, said the news of the untimely passing of Pastor Dare came as a great shock.
He described the incident as a real tragedy but urged the Adeboyes to be strong as no one could question God.
In a related development, the founder of the Synagogue Church of All Nations, Prophet TB Joshua, has suggested that God’s time played a role in the sudden demise of Pastor Dare.
The cleric made the suggestion on Friday, May 7, in a condolence message to the Adeboye family published on the Facebook page of his ministry, adding that what matters is not how long people live but how well.
Prophet Joshua also called for a moment of silence over the death of the young pastor.
