Legit.ng gathered that the gesture is also to appreciate Pastor Dare's great impact on the development of the youth department of the church.

The act started with Pastor Leke Adeboye, another son of Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye.

According to him, it is a tradition that anytime they lose a fallen hero as a youth, members shave off their hair and clean up.

Pastor Leke who shared a video of himself at the barber's shop on his Instagram page on Saturday, May 8, explained that the move is a sign of honour.

Female parishioners were not left out as a few have taken the bold step to shave their hair while some have decided not to use hair extensions, wig, makeup and jewellery.

Youths have now taken to social media using the hashtags #ForPDee #NotTodaySatan, to share photos of themselves having their hair cut off or shaven.
