Breaking: RCCG Finally Reacts to Death of Pastor Adeboye's Son

- RCCG has released a statement following the death of Pastor Adeboye's son

The Redeemed Christian Church of God has finally reacted to the death of the son of Pastor EA Adeboye who died in his sleep.

The church disclosed this in a statement posted on its Twitter handle on May 6 and signed by the public relations department.

The statement read in full:

"It is with a deep and heartfelt sense of loss, we announce the departure of our beloved son, brother, husband and father, Oluwadamilare Temitayo Adeboye. Who went to be with the Lord on the 4th of May, 2021.
"His life was well lived as he served the Lord without reserve, giving effortlessly and leading fearlessly. He was crowned by the Lord with blessings of 3 seeds and a beautiful wife.

"Though shaken, our anchor remains Jesus Christ in whom we have the assurance that we will one day meet in a place where there is no pain. It is the wish of the family to be granted privacy at this moment and that prayers be offered on their behalf."

Meanwhile, in a swift reaction, sympathizers have commiserated with the respected cleric and his family.

Meanwhile, Pastor Leke Adeboye has reacted to the death of his brother, Pastor Dare Adeboye as news about the incident trended on Nigerian social media space.

Leke and Dare Adeboye are sons of the general overseer of the Redeemed Christian church (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye. Dare was reported to have died in his sleep on Wednesday, May 5, in Eket, Akwa Ibom state.

In a post on Facebook on Thursday, May 6, Leke quoted a bible verse that suggested that righteous people are taken away to be spared from disaster and evil.
