Actress Opeyemi Aiyeola has a lot to be grateful for after surviving a near-death experience.

The movie star in a lengthy video shared on Instagram addressed her fans and followers from the hospital bed.

According to the actress, she started feeling some sort of way days ago which was as a result of stress and working so hard.

The movie star said she explained to colleagues at a movie location and they suggested that she may be having malaria symptoms.

This led to the actress stopping by at a pharmacy and purchasing a pack of nonprescription malaria drugs.

Opeyemi said she took the drug on her way back to Ogun state after a meal of garri and without bothering to read the side effects of the drugs.

This, according to her, was a mistake that almost cost her life and that of other people who were around her.

The actress explained that she started feeling nauseous and was passing out on several occasions after taking the drugs, which led to her being admitted to the hospital.

In a different portion of the video, Opeyemi explained that the doctors eventually discovered that the malaria drug was responsible for how she was feeling. She also admitted not reading the side effects which had been spelt out in the pamphlet that came with the medication.

She used the opportunity to urge other people to endeavour to read about medications before they ingest them.

The movie star took to her page on Instagram with a lovely appreciation note to her hubby, Olayiwola.

Aiyeola in her post said she is proud to say he holds the credit for keeping their home together.
