Nigerian celebrities have taken to social media to kick against the release of actor Baba Ijesha from police custody. It was reported that the embattled actor may be released on Friday, April 30.
The past few days have seen various discussions on social media about the embattled actor who allegedly defiled a 14-year-old girl.
In fact, the matter recently got actress Iyabo Ojo and her colleague Yomi Fabiyi in a war of words. Iyabo mercilessly dragged Yomi for asking to see the video evidence of Baba Ijesha touching the victim and also not making proper investigations before posting his opinion on the matter.

A number of celebrities supported Iyabo and hailed her for speaking out on the issue.
Many hearts were, however, broken when the report of the actor's release was shared. The police noted that the actor only touched the girl and it was not enough reason to send him to jail.
Taking to their social media pages, Nigerian entertainers are calling for justice as they contest the release of the actor.

The actor said he did not really understand the reason the police gave for granting Baba Ijesha bail.
2. Iyabo Ojo
The actress, who has been at the forefront of the issue, said if Baba Ijesha is released, he would be rearrested except he is taken away from Nigeria.

3. Tonto Dikeh
The actress was one of the celebrities who spoke out when the issue was first posted on social media. According to her, she has been pushing for the case to be transferred to Abuja and doesn't mind taking care of the logistics of the victim.

The Yoruba actor simply noted that he stands with the foster parent of the 14-year-old girl.

The actress said the excuse of the police in granting Baba Ijesha bail is not credible.

The actress asked if it was until Baba Ijesha slept with the girl before they find him guilty.

In other news, Legit.ng earlier reported that Toke Makinwa dragged Yomi Fabiyi for demanding the video evidence in Baba Ijesha's case.
Taking to her Twitter page, Toke said that Fabiyi is a disgrace, a total idiot and he is one of the reasons the fight against s*xual violence gets harder by the day.
She continued by saying that even after Baba Ijesha confessed and the actor knows that a minor is involved, he still went ahead to ask for video evidence.
The end of the media personality's tweet expressed her frustrations with the ways of the world.
