Breaking: Tears As Bandits Kill Two More Greenfield University Students

Barely three days after armed bandits killed three of the students of Greenfield university, who were recently abducted from their school premises, in Kaduna, two more victims have been sent to their early grave by their abductors.

PM News reports that the ugly incident happened on Monday, April 26.

Legit.ng gathered that their bodies, retrieved by security agencies, have been evacuated to a mortuary.

According to the report, the university authority has also been notified of the development.

The Nation also reports that the commissioner for internal security and home affairs in the state, Samuel Aruwan, confirmed this in a statement on Monday, April 26.

He said:

“On a sad note, security agencies have just reported to the Kaduna State Government the recovery of two more dead bodies of Greenfield University students, killed by armed bandits today, Monday 26th April 2021. The retrieved corpses have been evacuated to a mortuary, and the university has been notified of the development.
“The government of Kaduna state under the leadership of Malam Nasir El-Rufai is saddened by this evil perpetrated against innocent students abducted while pursuing their education for a glorious future.
“The government sends its deep empathy to their families and the university management and prays for the repose of their souls. The Government will update the citizenry on further developments.”

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had previously reported that armed bandits shot dead three students of Greenfield University, who were recently abducted from their school premises.

It was reported that the gunmen abducted the students during an attack on the private academic institution located along the Kaduna–Abuja highway in Chikun local government area of the state on the night of Tuesday, April 20.

This was revealed in a statement by Samuel Aruwan, the Kaduna state commissioner for internal security and home affairs, on Friday, April 23.

Aruwan said the bodies of the students were found on Friday, in Kwanan Bature village, a location close to the university.

In a related report, President Muhammadu Buhari strongly condemned the killing of three students kidnapped at Greenfield University, Kaduna state.

The president in a statement on Saturday, April 24, by his media assistant, Garba Shehu, described the students as bright youngsters who were cut down by evil people in their prime.

He has vowed that his administration will commit all available resources towards fighting banditry, kidnapping, and murders being perpetrated by evil-minded people across the country.
