The tragic development is coming days after some armed bandits shot three students of Greenfield University who had earlier been abducted from their school premises.

The gunmen abducted the students during an attack on the private academic institution located along the Kaduna–Abuja highway in Chikun local government area of the state on the night of Tuesday, April 20.

This was revealed in a statement by Samuel Aruwan, the Kaduna state commissioner for internal security and home affairs, on Friday, April 23.

Meanwhile, President Buhari has strongly condemned the killing of the three students.

The president in a statement released on Saturday, April 24, by his media assistant, Garba Shehu, described the students as bright youngsters who were cut down by evil people in their prime.

He vowed that his administration will commit all available resources towards fighting banditry, kidnapping, and murders being perpetrated by evil-minded people across the country.
