Davido Hits 20 Million Followers on IG, Becomes Most Followed Artiste in Africa

Much-loved Nigerian singer, Davido, has attained another feat in his career after he reached 20 million followers on Instagram.
The popular music star has emerged as the most followed artiste in not just Nigeria but Africa.
He has also greatly surpassed another two of Nigeria’s biggest music artistes, Wizkid and Burna Boy. While they are both Grammy winners, the Made In Lagos star has about 12.1 million followers while the self-styled African Giant has gathered 6.6 million followers.

The DMW boss also did not let the achievement pass by unnoticed, seeing as he took to his page to celebrate.

Davido seems to also appeal to an international audience seeing as he has been making moves with foreign celebrities.
It was earlier reported that the Nigerian star performed one of his hit tracks, Assurance in the remake of popular classic movie, Coming 2 America.
Many who had been anticipating the singer’s role in the second part of the highly acclaimed international movie were beyond impressed with his performance.
The singer was also named on TIME's list of most influential people. In a post which he shared on Instagram, the singer stated that he was proud to have made the list alongside other people across different professions.
