Zamfara: Don’t Push your Luck too Far, President Buhari Warns Bandits

- A stern warning from President Buhari has been sent to bandits in Zamfara

- The president told criminals not to assume nothing will happen to them if they keep on with their crimes

- Buhari also called on the military to do its utmost in fishing out the bandits and ending their reign

President Muhammadu Buhari has warned bandits who recently killed residents in Zamfara not to believe that the federal government cannot get hold of them.

Warning the criminals not to push their luck, the president affirmed that his administration will not tolerate the mindless destruction of lives, Daily Trust reports.

He stated:

“Such wanton disregard for life will be brought to an end sooner than later. This insane and persistent violence against innocent people must stop.
“The violence against poor villagers who are struggling with poverty and other severe economic challenges is not going to be tolerated by this administration."

He promised Zamfara residents that the military will do all it can to forestall further attacks and destruction of properties.

Buhari, as a way forward, called on security agencies and the armed forces to close the gaps that criminals take advantage of, Guardian also reported.

He told the nation's security chiefs not to give bandits any opportunity to wreak more havoc in the country.

His words:

“Let’s not give these criminals any opportunity to succeed by taking the war to their own camps and stop them in their tracks before they even have the time to respond under our massive firepower.”

Earlier, Zamfara was thrown into deep mourning by some suspected armed bandits who launched multiple attacks in six communities on Wednesday, April 21, killing at least 45 people.

Many people including women and children are missing in the aftermath of the attacks.

Legit.ng gathered that the bandits also razed down shops and public and private buildings. The affected communities are in Magami District of Gusau local government area, namely; Yar Doka, Kango, Ruwan Dawa, Madaba, Arzikin Da and Mairairai.
