The daughter of US Bishop T.D. Jakes Sarah Jakes Roberts joined the world of motherhood at the tender age of 14 years.
This was followed by an extremely publicised divorce that saw her become a single mother early in life.
Being the daughter of a famous man of the cloth, Sarah's story was fodder for the media in ways that would have trampled over anyone else's self-esteem.
The scandalous period, however, saw her turn the broken pieces of her life into entrepreneurship, mentorship, and a new journey of self-discovery.

After years of rebuilding, Sarah is now a celebrated author, media personality, and church leader.
She shared two photos that juxtapose the teenage mother of those days and how things are in the current day.
"How it started vs how it’s going. Been about you and I’m still about you," she captioned the post.
In both photos, Sarah is seen holding her son, with the first one showing him as a toddler and the second a mature young man.
Fellow mothers who resonated with her journey took to the comments section to share their own stories.
Sharon Schroeder

Karen Riley:
"I was a member of the Potters House when he was born. And I just thought about you all the other day and wondered how he was doing. Now I know. Sweet pics. Handsome fella. Proud of you Lady Sarah Jakes Roberts. Continued blessings."
Micah Bfj:
"This is amazing. If only the girl on the left could see the woman on the right. Even when we cant see the end God saw!"
The post and comments served as an inspiration to other women who became mothers while young that the journey could be tough but children usually grow out of neediness.
Meanwhile, Legit,ng earlier reported that Thomas D. Jakes, the bishop of Potter’s House, a church in the United States, said he traced his roots to Nigeria and discovered that his ancestors were Igbos.
The renowned man of God made the disclosure during an interview with BBC Igbo, where he said he has the major attribute of the Igbo tribe, which is hardworking.
Jakes said he eats fufu and jollof rice whenever he comes to Nigeria, adding that Nigerian cuisines make his head sweat.
