In what will surprise many Nigerians, the ruling All Progressives Party (APC) has been described as a cult group.
The description was made by the Ogun chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) when Hon. Sikirulahi Ogundele, the state's chairman addressed newsmen, PM News reports.
According to him, the only political party in Nigeria is the opposition PDP.
He insisted many people who defected to the ruling APC are looking for ways to run from the party because of their actions.
He said:
“What they do in APC is cult. They operate a cult group in APC. If you don’t belong, you cannot belong. They are running a cult group there. That’s why they have given democracy another definition – ‘Government of a few set of people for a few set of people’.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng had reported that the deaths of five members of the APC in Oyo state has thrown the party into mourning.
The late party members were elected councillors on the platform of the party.
Teslim Folarin, a former senator condoled with the Oyo state councillors’ forum over the tragedy.
In another report, the APC has claimed no administration in the history of Nigeria has done more for Nigeria than the present government of President Muhammadu Buhari.
This was stated by the acting national chairman of the party, Mai Mala Buni on Tuesday, April 20 in Abuja.
Buni, who is also the Yobe state governor, made the comments at the maiden edition of the media interactive session of the APC Professional Forum.
Also, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, may be dragged to court over his rumoured presidential ambition.
This was declared by the Disciples of Jagaban (DOJ), a support group loyal to the former governor of Lagos state, saying that it would not hesitate to sue him if he fails to declare for the 2023 presidency.
The DOJ is a merger of 12 political and socio-cultural groups working towards the actualisation of Tinubu’s presidency come 2023.
