Two Premier League side who are Arsenal and West Ham United are reportedly in serious race over the signing of Super Eagles winger Samuel Chukwueze who is doing well in Spain.
As things stand presently on the Premier League table, Arsenal have no or limited chance of finishing among the top four this term which means that the Gunners would not participate in the Champions League.
Gunners chiefs are preparing to enter the transfer market so as to bolster their squad ahead of the coming season.
According to the report on Complete Sports, Arsenal eggheads are convinced that Samuel would be a good signing for them in the coming summer.
Before the start of last season, Samuel Chukwueze was linked with a move to Premier League champions Liverpool, but there was no deal.
Samuel Chukwueze is currently playing under Unai Emery at Villarreal and it will be recalled that the Spaniard was sacked at Arsenal and replaced with Mikel Arteta.
So far this season, Samuel Chukwueze and his teammates at Villarreal are currently occupying sixth position on the La Liga table as they keep on their fights for Champions League place.
Since 2019 that Chukwueze has been playing for the Super Eagles, the winger has featured in 19 games and has been able to score three goals.
He was also among the squad that played at the 2019 African Cup of Nations.
Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Samuel Chukwueze made his 100th appearance for Villarreal in their 4-1 win over Zamora in the Copa del Rey.
The Nigerian international became the Yellow Submarine's youngest player to play a century of matches at the age of 21.
The Super Eagles winger surpassed the record set by Argentine defender Mateo Musacchio who reached the centenary mark aged 21 years, 11 months and 20 days.
Chukuweze provided an assist before he was substituted in the 63rd minute during the 4-1 thrashing of Zamora to qualify for the next round of the competition.
Carlos Bacca, Yeremi Pino, Carlos Ramos, Fer Nino and Daniel Raba all got their names on the scoresheet in the convincing win.
