Onyinyechi begged for a second chance to prove herself as she went on her knees. The judges left the stage one after the other with the distraught budding singer still on her knees.

It took the intervention of an unidentified man to get her off the stage.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that Seyi Shay had shattered the heart of a 17-year-old Nigerian Idol contestant.

Seyi who is quickly gaining a reputation as the bluntest judge on the show which also has Obi Asika and DJ Sosay as co-judges, was not impressed by the young man’s attempt at singing and she made no effort in sugar-coating her feedback.

The Irawo crooner told the young man that someone close must have lied to him by egging him on to try out the audition.

Seyi said to the boy:

"That person, you should go back and tell them that they are not your friend."
