Mason Greenwood was the star of the match as Manchester United overcame stubborn Burnley 3-1 in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon, April 18.
A brace from Greenwood and a late strike from Edinson Cavani sealed all three points for the Red Devils as they reignite their Premier League title chase for the season.
But Ole Gunnar Solakjaer's side had to battle so hard from start to finish against a very formidable Burnley side.
The visitors found the back of the net in the opening seconds of the game, but Dean Henderson was very lucky, coming for the ball when not needed. The Burnley goal was disallowed for offside.
And in the 14th minute, Marcus Rashford found Bruno Fernandes in space who failed to hit the target - he should have done better.
United came close yet again in the 29th minute when Rashford yet again worked the ball from a tight angle and tested the Burnley goalkeeper. Not surprising it was from his preferred left side.
Burnley then came close in the 42nd minute; Chris Wood had a half chance but sent his volley wide - somehow both teams couldn't break the deadlock in the first half as they went into the tunnel 0-0.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side came blazing in the second half and Mason Greenwood opened the scoring just three minutes from the restart when he fired home.
Rashford made a run down the left before playing dragging a delighftul ball back before the youngster poked home. Man Utd 1-0.
And barely two minutes later it was 1-1 when after United showed weakness on set-pieces again. Henderson should have perhaps come for it as Tyrone Marshall restored parity.
In the 84th minute, Greenwood fired from the right and his effort is deflected in to put his side back in the lead before Edinson Cavani completed a brilliant team move to complete the tie 3-1.
