Former UFC middleweight champion calls out Adesanya for rematch after win at main event

Robert Whittaker has called out UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya after defeating Kevin Gastelum in the main card of the fight night.
The Reaper dominated the match as all three judges scored the contest in favour of the Australian mixed martial artist.
When asked who was next during the post match interview, the 30-year-old did not mince his words as he sent a message to Adesanya on UFC.

Whittaker added that he wanted the rematch to be hosted in front of a massive crowd back in Australia around September.
The former middleweight champion suffered a second-round knockout in November 2019, but has bounced back to win three consecutive fight including Darren Till, Jarred Cannonier and now Gastelum.
The Reaper was supposed to have faced Paulo Costa who was also a victim of Adesanya's masterple display, but the Brazilian tested positive to COVID-19 as he was replaced by Gastelum.
Adesanya suffered his first loss in mixed martial arts to light heavyweight champion Jan Blachowicz at UFC 259 held in March 2021.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Jan Blachowicz became the first man to defeat Israel Adesanya at UFC 259 light heavyweight contest in Las Vegas.
All three judges gave the contest to the Polish fighter after dominating the majority of the rounds as it went the distance.
Israel is now 21-1 as his quest to become a two-division champion came crashing after he faced a much heavier and experienced Blachowicz.
Legit.ng also reported that Israel Adesanya has been someone who adores his parents as he gifts his dad a Bentley Continental GT worth $202,000 despite recently losing to lightweight champion Jan Blacvhowicz.
The Last Stylebender had his unbeaten MMA record stained by the Polish Power but that did not affect him in showing love to this beloved parent.
Izzy prostrated to his father when he won the interim middleweight championship from Kevin Gastelum and repeated the same act of respect when he knocked out Robert Withakker to become the undisputed champion in the division.
