Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa has finally been unveiled by the management of Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) side Kano Pillars on Thursday evening, April 15.
The unveiling ceremony was done at the office of the chairman of the club Surajo Jambul who was elated to have the former Leicester City striker in his squad.
Ahmed Musa had to return to Nigeria after his failure to secure a deal in Europe despite being linked with a move to Premier League side West Brom.
His last competitive game was in the Saudi Arabian League where he left in October last year and returned to Nigeria.
According to the confirmation by Kano Pillars, Ahmed Musa explained after signing his contract paper that he wants to win the League title with the Sai Masugida.
“I left Pillars over 10-years ago without winning the league then but now, by God grace, I will make a special record by leading the club to the Nigeria Professional Football League title.''
Ahmed Musa also thanked the management, players and fans of the club for sustaining the relationship between himself and the club since his first registration as Pillars player in 2009.
Kano Pillars are currently occupying second position on the Nigerian Professional Football League table (NPFL) and will face Warri Wolves in their next game.
Nigerian reporters and fans have been complaining about the way Kano Pillars unveiled Ahmed Musa claiming that the ceremony should not have been done in the office.
Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa completed his multi-million naira sports center in Kaduna where youths are expected to be training and they can also exhibit their talents.
The former Leicester City striker is one of the richest Nigerian players considering his assets since he started playing football from the street of Jos.
Ahmed Musa started playing football in Jos before moving to JUTH FC from where he was signed them by former Nigerian champions Kano Pillars.
He spent only one season with the Sai Masugida netting 18 goals before moving to Europe where he made massive money for himself.
Musa who last played in the Saudi Arabian League also has a multi-million naira sports center in Kano state.
The 28-year-old is also sponsoring 100 students in Kano to get degrees in the University which is an awesome one for the Super Eagles captain.
