BB Naija star Competes at National Sports Festival, Wins Big Medal for Rivers State in Stunning Video

There was serious jubilation in Benin which is the capital of Edo state as former BB Naija star Mike Edwards won bronze medal for Rivers state in long jump which was an awesome record.
Mike Edwards who is based in London decided to come to Nigeria and represented his state in the high jump category finishing third in the men's championship.
In the video posted by the athlete himself on social media, Mike Edwards expressed happiness for him winning a medal for Rivers state and claimed that he will continue to be a good ambassador.
Edwards also praised the organizers of the 2021 Edo Sports festival and all the athletes who represented their various states.
''I’m grateful for the opportunity to compete and represent Rivers State taking home the Bronze this time. Congratulations to all the athletes who took part. We’ll see what’s about to happen next.''
Edwards represented Delta state in Abuja but due to the reduction in numbers of athletes as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, he was unable to be part of the state's team, hence his decision to compete for Rivers state.
Meanwhile, Delta state emerged champions of the 2021 National Sports Festival and they will be the host of the next championship which will come up next year.

In a footage shared on Twitter, Idrees was seen in different combat techniques as she also picked up other medals in a non-combat simulated category of Taekwondo known as Poomsae.
Only recently, one of Nigeria’s all-time athletes, Blessing Okagbare, has been presented with the Guiness World Record as the athlete with the most Diamond League appearances (67).
The 32-year-old personally announced her entry into the Guinness Book of Records as one of the hallowed names there.
