End of Road for Terrorists as Presidency Says 6 Super Tucanos Combat Aircraft will Arrive Nigeria in July
- President Muhammadu Buhari's administration has reiterated its commitment to end insurgency in Nigeria

The federal government has said that the country is expected to receive six of the 12 Super Tucanos ordered from the United States in mid-July.
Legit.ng reports that this was disclosed on Tuesday, April 13, by the senior special assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on media and publicity, Garba Shehu, via a tweet.
Shehu said that 14 Nigerian pilots are currently training with the aircraft at the Moody Air Force Base in Georgia.
He also posted a video of what appeared to be test-flight operations on his verified Twitter handle, @GarShehu.
The video was credited to the Sierra Nevada Corporation, a private American aerospace firm.
The presidential aide tweeted:
"Six of the twelve Super Tucanos are on track to arrive in mid-July 2021. With the remaining six shortly after that. There are 14 Nigerian pilots currently training at Moody Air Force Base in Georgia."
Meanwhile, Legit.ng had reported that amid the daunting security challenges in Nigeria, Lieutenant General Ibrahim Attahiru, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), said his vision will rebuild the Nigerian Army into a formidable force that will defeat all threats.
The army boss made the declaration during the opening ceremony of the combined COAS First Quarter Conference and Nigerian Army Operations Retreat 2021 in Abuja.
In a statement issued by Brigadier General Mohammed Yerima, the director of army public relations via its Facebook page on Monday, March 29, Attahiru said this is in line with President Muhammadu Buhari’s directives.
Attahiru speaking further assured Nigerians that the army under his leadership will continue to decisively deal with all security challenges currently confronting the nation.

The COAS explained that though he took over the mantle of leadership at a very critical period, the military will remain resolute in decisively dealing with threats against the country.
In a related report, the Nigerian Air Force eliminated top leaders of the Islamic State of West Africa Province (ISWAP) and scores of their fighters in Borno state.
The brutal and precision-guided airstrikes were conducted by the Air Task Force Operation Lafiya Dole.
The report further revealed that the airstrikes targeted three major ISWAP hideouts at Kusuma, Sigir in Ngala, and Arijallamari in Abadam local government areas of Borno state.
